UNFPA supported the Ministry of Health to establish a Logistics Information Management System for reproductive health commodities.

UNFPA has provided the equipment needed for the system and also conducted Training of Trainers for 16 health care workers from 12 governorates in the south of Yemen, who will be responsible for managing this system.

This is one of UNFPA efforts in improving the supply chain for contraceptives and maternal lifesaving drugs in Yemen. The Logistics Management System aims to monitor stock levels and ensuring uninterrupted availability with zero stock-outs, while providing real-time information on amount and place of need.
