Hayat was living happily with her husband and children in one of Marib al-Wadi camps. However, the equation changed when her husband was killed in battles of the conflict. This was the most difficult event in her life. She experienced great suffering after the death of her husband, as she lost her husband, who provided her with financial and moral support. Life has become very difficult for her and her eight children.

Meanwhile, her father-in-law tried to take her children from her, believing that the children should live with him and that Hayat was unable to care for them. After she refused to give him her children, he deprived her of her husband’s monthly salary.

She was experiencing great difficulties in providing a living for her children. She had no source of income. She was dependent on humanitarian aid that arrived irregularly. She felt despair and fear for her children's future.

Hayat continued to struggle to take care of her children. Didn't give up. She was determined to build a better life for herself and her children.

One day, Hayat attended an outreach in the camps near her. She heard about the safe space for women funded by the United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA), King Salman Humanitarian and Aid Center, and implemented by Human Access in Marib branch about providing support to women in various fields, including vocational training. Hayat decided to go to the safe space in the hope of finding an opportunity to improve her life.

She went there and was received and supported psychologically and socially. Then she joined vocational training in the field of tailoring and sewing. Hayat became able to sew clothes and various fabrics.

Hayat succeeded economically and began selling and marketing clothes and fabrics, coordinating and networking with merchants, and soon her business began to flourish.

Hayat is now able to provide for her family's social and recreational needs and achieve self-sufficiency. Today, this woman has begun to teach sewing and have reaped abundant profits. Hayat has become a role model for women. She proved that women can achieve success even under difficult circumstances.
