Swedish Foreign Minister visits women's safe spaces in south Yemen

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden, Ms. Ann Linde and other high-level officials visited a UNFPA established shelter and safe space in Aden and spoke to many brave women and girls who are tackling the hardship brought about by the conflict and supporting their families. The safe space and shelter have been established with the generous contributions from the Kindgom of Sweden, Netherlands and Switzerland. They are the largest contributors to UNFPA's women's protection programme in Yemen. 

UNFPA has established 46 safe spaces and 6 shelters across Yemen, providing information, protection services and livelihood opportunities to women and girls.
