From I-just-want-to-kick-the-tires to I'm-ready-for-the-fast-lane. UNFPA Yemen supported 30 young people to engage in designing solutions to end violence against women and girls. In an attempt to help reverse this reality and start counting down to zero violence and harmful practices against women and girls, a five-day Innovation Lab was conducted. Young people introduced local solution; from facilitating and supporting dignified livelihoods, supporting education to facilitating a youth-led inter-community dialogue and exchange.

“Women have rights, but no one wants to admit this here. We have a right to fix this, and we are glad UNFPA listens” – Said Aram Saeed, a 22 years-old young women actively working on community justice, hoping the proposal her team developed gets selected for funding.

Three flagship innovations will get approved for funding by UNFPA, in which the winning team will take the lead in implementing it.
