Flash Update #03 Escalation and Response in Marib, Al Jawf and Sana'a Governorates
Following military operations that escalated on 19 January 2020 within Marib, Sana’a and Al Jawf Governorates the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate in these governorates. Since19 January to date, humanitarian partners report that over 5,000 families have been forced to flee armed clashes.

Since 19 January 2020 military operations escalated significantly within Marib, Sana’a and Al Jawf Governorates. To date, 1,345 newly displaced households (9,415 individuals) have been identified by the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) partners.

Since 19 January 2020, a heavy military offensive commenced in Marib, Sana'a and Al Jawf Governorates, resulting in the displacement of more than 900 households (6,300 individuals), with reportedly increasing displacement.
